The NFC North will likely have all four teams within a couple games of each other. None of them look much better or worse than mediocre this season. The Bears dominated the division last season, but they will get plenty of competition from the Vikings, Packers, and Lions in 2019. Let’s take a look at the 2019 NFC North preview.

Division Winner: Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings just missed the playoffs last year. If they could have beaten the Bears once last year, they would have made the playoffs. Twice, and they would have won the division. This year, they are ready to take over the NFC North. Kirk Cousins comes back for his second season under center for the Vikings after a solid first campaign. Their defense was a top 10 defense last year and will probably be just as stout this year.

Team To Watch: Green Bay Packers

It is the beginning of the Matt LaFleur Era in Green Bay. Packer faithful are hoping that they can string some wins together, something that they were not able to do last season. They will need to keep Aaron Rodgers upright and hope that Aaron Jones can continue his development in the running game. The defense will need to improve and they will do it without Clay Matthews. The Packers are a sleeper pick in our 2019 NFC North preview.

Biggest Disappointment: Chicago Bears

The Bears dominated the NFC North in 2018, but they will have a hard time doing that again. The Vikings and Packers are both looking to bounce back and the Lions will be knocking on the door. They will be facing a much tougher schedule after finishing in the top spot. Their last three games are at Green Bay, home against the Chiefs, and at Minnesota. If they do not have the division sewn up by then, it will be tough to fend off both the Packers and the Vikings.
