There is no reason to believe the 2019 AFC South won’t come down to the wire as well. This division is one of the few divisions in football that now has moderate to strong quarterback play throughout.
Division Winner: Indianapolis Colts
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Colts have everything it takes to win the 2019 AFC South. The only thing standing in their way is the health of quarterback Andrew Luck. If Luck is healthy all year bet on the Colts, who were the hottest team in football at the end of last season. There is no reason Indy can’t carry the success of last season into this years campaign.
Team To Watch: Jacksonville Jaguars
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Jacksonville Jaguars are back with a renewed spirit and a new signal-caller. The Blake Bortles era is over in Jacksonville, and for that reason alone, Jaguars fans have reason to be hopeful. Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles is now under center and will provide new energy into a stagnant offense. Furthermore, with the defense still intact and ready to get back to their 2017 form, Jacksonville is set to make a playoff push.
Biggest Disappointment: Tennessee Titan
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Titans have arguably the worst quarterback in the division, and their back up doesn’t give them any hope either. Marcus Mariota is either unavailable or inconsistent depending on which week it is, and that is a recipe for disaster for any NFL franchise. If they don’t get adequate QB play, their stellar run game lead by Derrick Henry and tough defense will be all for nothing. The Titans could easily be a playoff team or end up with the worst record in the division.
