(1) Warriors vs (4) Rockets

There is unfinished business between the Warriors and Rockets. Houston believes that if not for Chris Paul getting hurt, the defending champs would have been eliminated a year ago. Furthermore, with James Harden there is a great chance for Houston to finish the job this time and eventually win the conference. However, we should not expect the defending champs to go quietly. Although they are without DeMarcus Cousins, they are a match up nightmare and could easily make it back to the Finals.

Prediction: Rockets in 6

(2) Nuggets vs (3) Blazers

The Portland Trailblazers are the most exciting team in the NBA playoffs. Furthermore, after dispatching the Thunder in 5 games, it’s no wonder the Blazers were a dark horse for many to win the conference. However, the Nuggets are no slouch either. Furthermore, they are also battle tested after a tough 7 game series with the Spurs. They know what it takes to win tough games. This could be the best series of the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Prediction: Blazers in 7
