What do you love about sports the most?
The excitement that goes into each game. Sometimes you never know what will happen. Feeling heartbreak makes a victory that much sweeter, making it the biggest reason why we all come back to our team.
Why is sportswriting important to you?
Writing about sports allows me to express my opinions and sharpen up my knowledge about any given sport. Expressing myself has always been an important aspect of my life and this allows me to do so.
What is your greatest sporting memory?
Being at Tony Gwynn’s final game of his illustrious career, which included Rickey Henderson’s 3,000th hit.
If there was ONE outcome to a game you could change in your lifetime, what would it be and why?
As a former Chargers fan: 2007 Divisional Round between the Chargers and the Patriots. No need to explain.

What do you love about sports the most?
I love the passion everyone has for it. From the players down to the older fans. People eat, sleep, and live sports and I happen to be one of them.
Why is sportswriting important to you?
Keeps me involved in the sports world. mother and father always told me “do something that you love to do” and I happen to love sports.
What is your greatest sporting memory?
Making it to the semifinal game in baseball during my senior year. Great team and we all had great memories. Also every sporting event I’ve ever gone to with my family
If there was ONE outcome to a game you could change in your lifetime, what would it be and why?
I would have to say I’d change the moment Ray Allen hit that 3 pointer against the spurs in game 6 during the 2013 NBA championship. I’d have him get packed!

What do you love about sports the most?
I love sports because of its power to move people. The united explosion of sheer joy or utter dismay felt by thousands of fans is a mass reaction that few other things can duplicate. Yes, sometimes such passion leads to ugliness, but that is also part of the duality of sports – win or lose, good or bad, rival or fan, home or away. In many ways, sports provides balance to society.
Why is sportswriting important to you?
Sportswriting is important to me because it provides me an outlet to give back to an arena that has given me so many memorable moments in my life. Writing and this online presence allows me to have an audience I would not otherwise be able to garner, and it drives me to produce the best that I can summon up.
What is your greatest sporting memory?
Badminton is not seen as a big sport in the US, but where I come from, it’s huge. In 1992, Malaysia faced Indonesia in the Thomas Cup final on home soil in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia had not won the biggest team tournament in the sport for 25 years, and this was our best chance since. The entire country came to a standstill as the hopes of a nation hung on every smash, drop shot, and service. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, and as soon as the final point dropped and we won, I could hear car horns and screams of joy all throughout the neighborhood. It was simply remarkable to see the country come together in celebration like that. We haven’t won it since.
If there was ONE outcome to a game you could change in your lifetime, what would it be and why?
I still feel a little part of me die inside on the odd occasion that I recall the 1990 World Cup semifinal between England and Germany. In typical heroic fashion, England saved their best and most inspired performance in a losing effort, and the curse of English penalty shootouts began. To make matters worse, Peter Shilton guessed right on every single German penalty. They were just hit so well and with such power that he couldn’t actually stop them. I honestly believe England would’ve downed pitiful Argentina in the final.

What do you love about sports the most?
The thing I like most about sport is teamwork. I love seeing players come together as a team in order to beat the odds. To me, I would rather see a well-executed play than an individual accomplishment.

Sportswriting is important to me because it is a way for me to share my knowledge and my passion to others.
What is your greatest sporting memory?
My greatest sports memory is the final out of the 1982 American League Championship Series. Rod Carew hit a ground ball to Robin Yount, who fielded it cleanly and threw on to Cecil Cooper. As soon as Cooper secured the ball for the third out, he leaped into the air and the entire team celebrated on the mound.
If there was ONE outcome to a game you could change in your lifetime, what would it be and why?
If I could change the outcome to one game, it would have to be game 7 of the 1982 World Series. It broke my heart that the Brewers could not hold on to win that game and the Series. After winning game 1 by a score of 10-0, I thought the Brewers had it in the bag. It still hurts to think about losing that game.

The thing I like most about sport is snatching victory from jaws of defeat. The feeling that even when the chips are down anything is possible and rooting for the underdog. What can I say I’m a Philly kid Rocky is etched in my soul.
Why is sportswriting important to you?
Sportswriting is important to me because it is a way for me to share my opinion with others and maybe lend a voice to those who feel voiceless even in today’s social media heavy world
What is your greatest sporting memory?
My greatest sports memory is without a doubt the final pitch of the 2008 world series. The words of the immortal Harry Kalas will echo in my heart forever. “Swing and a miss, struck him out! And the Phillies are world champions of baseball!”
If there was ONE outcome to a game you could change in your lifetime, what would it be and why?
If I could change the outcome to one game, it would have to be the 2002 NFC Championship game. The last game played in Veteran’s Stadium. I grew up with that building terrible turf, shakey steps, obnoxious fans and all. To see it’s legacy ended by team we had pummeled year after year was heartbreaking.

What I love about sports the most is that they make the world come together. Sports do not care
about race, nationality or beliefs.
Why is sportswriting to you?
Sportswrting is important to me because it goes far beyond informing. Sports are everywhere and
everybody follows the athletes involved in any sort of sport. We the writers are the link between
those extraordinary human beings with imposing physiques and the rest of the world.
Sportswriting is the lifeline of the world’s greatest cultural phenomenon.
What is your greatest sporting memory?
MLB Opening Day 2012. I had not much interest in baseball growing up until I sat with my
grandfather to watch the A’s face the Mariners at the Tokyo Dome. From that day on I learned
everything I could about the sport and bombarded my grandfather with questions that entire
season. I fell in love with the sport while bonding with a very special family member.
If there was ONE outcome to a game you could change in your lifetime, what would it be
and why?
I would get Arjen Robben booked for simulation in the Mexico v Netherlands round of sixteen
match at the 2014 World Cup. That would have kept the score tied and it would have given us a
chance at seeing the full potential of one of the most promising Mexican soccer generations in
recent years.
